So what’s it all about?

Platform One College of Music have had a close working relationship with the Isle of Wight Festival since its resurrection in 2002.

The Platform One Stage, which is returning to the Main Arena this year and is programmed and run by Platform One College of Music.  This is the Isle of Wight’s very own independent, not for profit Music College.  This unique stage highlights the wealth of talent that exists on such a small, yet musically vibrant Island.

The stage will feature a diverse and eclectic mix of music over the duration of the festival.  Music from acoustic tunes through to full on rock bands, with everything in between.  (This will be the only stage to see some emerging metal).  There will certainly be something for everyone.   This is certainly the place to listen to some high-quality original music.

It really is amazing that such an iconic festival is so supportive of nurturing new talent.  John Giddings, the man behind the Isle of Wight Festival, has been an active patron of Platform One since 2004.

‘Platform One do an amazing job in nurturing talent and helping their students learn about the music business. We are proud to be able to help them in any way possible’ - John Giddings – Isle of Wight Festival

Platform One run full time courses from Level 1 through to a BA (Hons) Commercial Music, which is run in partnership with University of Chichester.
